Location

Algonquin Highlands, Ontario, Canada

Where to begin to tell you about all there is to do in the Highlands. A typical day in the summer could include; hiking or biking on the countless nearby trails. Or you could spend the day swimming, canoeing, kayaking and fishing on the lakes that surround us. The nearest public beach is a two minute car ride away.

You can also visit the Wolf Centre at the Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve.

If you want a low-key day, go to one of three farmer’s markets to buy local food and artisan treasures.

If you are into the arts, you can catch a show at the Highlands Summer Festival or the Highlands Opera Studio.

Great restaurants surround us including: Rhubarb, Heather Lodge, and Sir Sam’s Inn.

And don’t forget, world famous Algonquin Park is just 1 hour North of us if you want a real wilderness experience. There so much more but we’ll fill you in when you get here.
